Bjork のアルバムにDOKAKAが参加!!

すごいことが起こってしまった。

ビョークのオフィシャル・サイトbjork.comによると、日本人ビートボックス・アーティストのDOKAKAが、彼女のニュー・アルバムに参加しているという。レコーディングは、3月にNYで行なわれた模様だ。DOKAKAは、ニルヴァーナ「Smells Like Teen Spirit」やメタリカの「Creeping Death」といったヒット曲を声のみで演奏するアーティスト。

BjorkのアルバムにあのDOKAKAが参加すると。DOKAKAというのは、まあサイトに行って聴いてみればわかるけど、一人アカペラ多重録音で既存の楽曲のフルパート、フルアレンジを再現してしまうという非常に天才的かつ変態的なネタ師だ。いや、ネタ師だと思っていた。ネタというか芸?

以前彼の作品をどっかのMP3公開サイトみたいなところで発見して、そのことは自分のサイトで取り上げたんだけど、今見返したらそんなエントリーはないので、おそらく前のサイトで取り上げたんだと思う。そのときは確か仲間募集してたな。ストリートで生でやりたいから、とか言って。

とにかく僕は彼を音楽家としては捉えてなくて、電撃ネットワークとかと同じカテゴリに入るパフォーマーだと思っていた。もちろんやってることは音楽に違いないので音楽家であることは間違いない。単に僕が彼をプライマリに音楽家としては捉えてなかったってだけの話。だってなんかめちゃめちゃ作りこんでる割にはピッチが甘かったり、リズム系の音は正当なボイスパーカッションというよりは素人の口ドラムという感じだし、大体選曲も趣味丸出しでゲームミュージックとかやってて、なんというかメジャー感がこれっぽっちもない。その上彼の趣味の一部が自分とかぶってたりしたので、僕の中では「何かがほとばしりすぎて溢れまくってる人」という認識だった。

そんな僕の中では「アンダーグラウンドで面白いネタ師」であった人がなんと Bjork のアルバムに参加!驚愕!ってかこれって明らかにネット力(ぢから)に他ならない!なんというか、いろんな意味でモノスゲーびっくりしたニュースだった。

ちなみにBjorkのオフィシャルサイトでもちゃんとニュースリリース出てる。ガセじゃない。
